Rather than starting a new topic, I'm just going to ask this here.  Does anyone else feel that Die Bombe could be about suicide bombers, specifically women (obviously)?   Wink  Or has this already been discussed?
what in the lyrics led you to assume that

LOL, are you pulling my leg?  It's so hard to tell in writing so I apologize if you're not.

Anyway, when I add the lyrics together that's what occurred to me, probably because I've been hearing more about those kinds of bombings in the Middle East and in reading posts here I know that Alexx does sometimes write about things in the world that bother him.  So, if taken a certain way it kind of sounds like gentle teasing of religious suicide bombers.  I know this is a sensitive world topic so I hope I don't offend anyone by thinking that and I hope that no one presumes to know how I feel about people who choose to be terrorists for their cause.

Place the bomb
Redeem the world (i.e. the holy war against the infidels)
Pull the trigger

Who of the two of us will triumph (i.e. Christians versus Muslims)

I am the hate - you are the fist (the bomber is the "fist" of the person behind the plan)

Come, play a little bit war with me

These things just occur to me.  Since I just got Eisbrecher, I've gotten into Dormentanz which used to be about a knight (yes, I'm obvious star) and now is about . . .well something quite a bit more risqué.

And the songs that saved your life
Yes, you're older now
And you're a clever swine
But they were the only ones who ever stood by you

well this is another way of seeing it you re puuting the song in the international frame I like that I thought always that this song explore the topic of 2 persons in one for example the line dein Zweites ich der Feind in dir  which means your second you the enemy in you die Bombe could be a metaphor for an exploding rage  komm spile ein bisschen krieg mit mir come play a little war with me is inviting the "normal you to fight against your internal rage lets cal it your demons  but your point of  view is also interesting

Nice!  I like your interpretation a lot too!  It's kind of how I feel about Leider.  That it's about an internal, emotional struggle rather than just about the raw words of the song.  For me in Leider, the emotional pain a person causes himself/herself when they cannot be happy with themselves is being compared to being someone who cuts/mutilates themselves physically.

I think, most songs leave it open. They suit for the world and for the personal feelings.
It's a matter of micro cosmos and macro cosmos.
Most things, conflicts, truth, emotions can be found in both.
The one is the small little picture / mirrow of / for the other.
Most EB - lyrics allow the listener to choose what he thinks about and leaves enough space for different association, even if Alexx might have had a certain one.
Like a good painting or a good story.
You can take the essence of it for more than one situation.

I consider your interpretation very reasonable, Carina, very good idea! Though I for myself thought as adrenalin. Even more. I feel sometimes that much like in a cage and so upset about the world, that I said a thousand times, it seems you cannot do nothing, no words help, one simply should start throwing bombs again - which I would not do. But the song came right into this mood and gave me freedom and some sort of peace (can listen to the song now when that mood is coming).

yeah every song is in personal/personal for example I was always under the impression that Freisturz was about someone who fell out of a plane and before his death in the free fall he is really free free of everything Frei fur immer!! that used to be my story to the song when I knew less german now that I really know what  it is about is a bit dissapointing I loved the morbisity that I gave to it

The album Eiszeit is among the very best I own. I've loved it since the first listening!  Kiss To me it seems that the guys have found their style with this album compared to the previous ones. Even though they are very good too!  Wink

What is it supposed to really be about?  Don't worry you won't ruin the meaning that I have for it because it is to personal for that.   Grin

Okay because I'm bored at work and I sure everyone REALLY wants to know my opinion (just kidding), here are my rankings for the songs on Eiszeit after lots of listens and finally having all four Eisbrecher albums to compare (yipee!)

Love:
Eiszeit - I adore this song with a fiery passion!
Bombe - so sexy
Amok - this mix of the fast and slow lines in this song is just wonderful
Segne Deinen Schmerz - simple but it pulls you in

Like:
Der Hauch Des Lebens - can I be held ganz fest please?
Dein Weg
Bose Madchen
Die Engel
Supermodel
Kein Wunder

Dislike:
Gothkiller - I skip this song everytime I listen to the album now.   Sad  I wanted to like it but I just can't.

Maybe I should say a bit more about Eiszeit now that I've listened to it pretty much already...  Wink

As I said above it is definitely one of my fave albums ever. I love the sound of the album. I love Böse Mädchen (that is also as a ringtone in my phone! I'm an addict! LOL!  Grin), Eiszeit, Die Engel, Supermodel and Hauch des Lebens the most! <3 They are all so adorable songs that I can't even choose the best one out of them.  Wink But there is no bad song to me on the album. I like them all. The only bad thing is that the duration of this album is less than 40 minutes. I don't mean that I'd NEED more length just for lenght itself but just mena that this album is so great that I don't want it to end so soon!  Grin But yes, I liked Eisbrecher before Eiszeit already but now I love them.  Kiss Do I need to say something more critical? I can't say at this point. Good music makes you feel. It makes you laugh or makes you smile. Eiszeit is that kind of album to me.  Wink

Been behind on Eisbrecher news, if there has been any.  Have I missed any info?  Are they still working on their new album that Alexx briefly mentioned on Radio Goethe a few months back?  Crazy to think if they release a new album this year after Eiszeit has only been out for less than a year, lol.  Oh well, it will make me and plenty of others very happy Smiley
